This is a 3 part Storytelling Lesson Sequence created around the book A Drum Calls Softly co-written  by a Metis Canadian writer, David Bouchard, and a Cree poet, Shelley Willier for my pre-service internship. The book is illustrated by Jim Poitras who has a Northern Cree ancestry. This is an in-depth lesson including an overview, concept map, cross-curricular connections, and a reflection on class implementation. Resources may have been added or removed and changes to the lesson may have been adopted.
