Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Shelly Ekren and I am currently pursuing a long time dream of becoming a teacher. I am 40 years young and a Mom to 3 handsome young men…20,19, and 17. Previous to taking the leap and making the decision to make my educational dream a reality, I worked in the local pharmacy and medical clinic. However, my love for children always remained at the center of my world in my important role as Auntie 🙂 My need to make a difference and love of children steered me in the direction of becoming a foster parent. The training re-lit my desire to learn and the experience of being a caregiver to tiny humans that were not mine affirmed my passion and installed the confidence I needed to jump in with both feet and go back to school after 20 years!
